The Jewelets 925 Sterling Silver 15x20 mm Pendant Blank features a specially designed flexible oval bezel setting that provides greater fitting tolerance when working with natural and individually cut cabochons.

Natural gemstones are not always perfectly calibrated. Two stones both sold as 15x20 mm can have slightly different dimensions, curves, thicknesses, or edge profiles. A completely rigid setting may therefore leave visible gaps around one stone while being too tight for another.

The flexible construction of this pendant helps solve this common problem.

FLEXIBLE FRAME FOR A CLEANER FIT

If your gemstone is slightly smaller than the nominal 15x20 mm setting, the silver frame can be gently pressed inward around the cabochon.

This allows the bezel to follow the individual outline of the stone more closely and helps conceal small gaps between the gemstone and the setting, producing a cleaner and more professionally finished appearance.

The flexibility also works in the opposite direction.

If a stone is slightly larger than 15x20 mm, the frame provides limited additional tolerance. Depending on the stone's shape, thickness, curvature, and edge profile, a difference of approximately +0.2 mm may be accommodated.

This makes the setting especially practical for natural, hand-cut, artisan, vintage, or slightly non-calibrated stones.

IMPORTANT FIT INFORMATION

The 15x20 mm measurement is the nominal setting size. The flexible frame provides greater tolerance than a conventional rigid bezel, but the adjustment range is not unlimited.

A substantially oversized, unusually thick, strongly asymmetrical, or incorrectly shaped stone may not fit properly.

For the best result, position the stone first and adjust the frame gradually and evenly around the cabochon. Avoid aggressive bending or repeatedly opening and closing the frame, as excessive manipulation may distort or weaken the silver.
