6x8 MM OVAL PRONG SETTING FOR FACETED STONES: The center mounting is primarily designed for a calibrated 6x8 mm oval faceted gemstone. The open prong construction provides space for the pavilion while allowing the stone to remain highly visible.

CABOCHONS CAN ALSO BE SET: This mounting can also accommodate an oval cabochon, but the cabochon should be approximately 0.1 mm smaller than the nominal 6x8 mm setting size. Always measure the actual stone and check its profile before setting.
